Sheringham : Man Charged After Drug Raid

A man from Sheringham in North Norfolk has been charged by police after a drugs raid in the town on Friday.

The 23-year-old man has been charged with drug possession after a warrant was carried out in Sheringham.

Police raided a home in Beeston Road at about 4pm where officers seized cannabis, cash, drug paraphernalia and a handgun.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and officers arrested a second man in a nearby street in connection with drug offences.

Simon Burns, of Augusta Street, Sheringham, has been charged with possessing a Class B drug (cannabis) and will appear before Norwich Magistrates Court on Monday 7 November.

The 31-year-old man arrested in connection with possession of a Class B drug has been released on bail until December 2 while police continue with their enquiries.
