A two year old girl's suffered a burn to her head after a woman threw a cup of coffee at her in Great Yarmouth.

It happened between 5pm and 5.30pm on Friday 23 May when the victim, a 22-year-old woman, entered the restaurant in the town centre with her daughter.

The mother got into a verbal argument with another woman who threw a cup of coffee at her daughter, causing a minor burn to the forehead.

Investigating officer, PC Ben Pitman, said: "We want to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident and are particularly keen to speak with a woman who challenged the suspect outside the restaurant shortly after it happened."

Witnesses should contact PC Pitman at Great Yarmouth Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
