Police are warning people not to approach a wallaby that has escaped from an animal park.

Police were called about the animal on Monday evening after it was spotted on the Fakenham Road near Great Witchingham in Norfolk between Norwich and Fakenham.

It had been injured, but despite the owner and police trying to catch it, the wallaby managed to escape into a field.

Police are now warning drivers in the area to be aware as it may get into the road, and telling people not to approach or chase it.
