Manslaughter Charges

Police investigating the death of a Polish man attacked in Kettering have charged two men with manslaughter.

Kamil Gumowski, 22, was attacked near the Euro Food Shop in Silver Street at 12.15am on Sunday 18 August 2013.

He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Kettering General Hospital.  He died three days later.

Marek Krukowski, 30, from Kettering and Dominik Maryszak, 29, from Kettering, were both due to appear at Corby Magistrates' Court on Friday 23 August 2013, having been charged with manslaughter.

Northamptonshire Police had previously made an appeal for people who came to Kamil's aid to get in touch with them.

Officers have thanked members of the public who have come forward with information.
