A man in his 50s found near Wallasey
Merseyside Police have told Heart that a body was spotted in the River Mersey from Riverview Road in Wallasey at just after 10am.
Lifeboat crews recovered the body of a man in his 50s with police now carrying out formal identification.
A statement Merseyside Police say: "The death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem will be carried out to ascertain the cause of death."
