Swimmer dies in River

The body of the man who was recovered from Oxford's Bullstake Stream has been named as Daniel Lewis from Wheatley.

The 29 year old had been swimming with friends - but at 6:15 emergency services were called when he failed to resurface.  The police helicopter was also utilised in the search.

They searched the stream, which is near to the West Oxford Community Centre, for around 2 hours before his body recovered at 8:17pm.
