Investigation continues following an armed robbery.
Police were called to Harvey Daly Jewellers in Long Causeway at around 10:45am on Friday.
Police say they are looking for two men who were seen running from the store towards Peterborough Cathedral grounds, and that a handgun was found nearby.
One of the men is desribed as white, in his mid twenties, 6 ft, with a shaved head and wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket with a stripe across the chest.
Detective Sergeant Andy Tolley, investigating, said: "The city centre was very busy at the time of the robbery and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened to contact police."
Anyone with any information can contact police on 0345 456 456 4, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
UPDATE - 4:00pm
Police have released CCTV images [pictured - below left] of two men they want to trace in connection with the armed robbery.
Detective Sergeant Andy Tolley, investigating, said: "I would ask anyone who thinks they recognise these men to contact police.
I am also very keen to speak to the man who had a gun pointed at him as the robbers fled. He could have important information for the investigation."
