Baston: Woman In Court After Baby Death

A 16 year old woman, charged with the murder of a baby in Baston near Market Deeping, will appear in court today.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court for administrative purposes, according to Lincolnshire Police.

Officers discovered the body of a newborn baby at a property Hadrian Drive, Baston, during the early hours of Thursday 5th September.

A 16 year old local woman was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.

Lincolnshire Police have since confirmed that the cause of the baby's death was 'obstruction of the airway'.
