A Peterborough man has been jailed for sexually assaulting a teenage boy.

Neil Rouse [pictured - right], who is 62, lives in Sawtry and used to be called William Munro has been convicted of eight counts of sexual activity with a boy aged 13 to 16 and one count of rape.

He has been jailed for eight years and placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely.

Rouse met the boy at his home in Annesley Close through a neighbour, and gave him drugs and alcohol, as well as cash and gifts in return for sex.

Rouse also threatened the boy with violence, but was caught when the victim went to Police.

Detective Constable Heidi Hensey said: "Rouse is a sexual predator who groomed a young boy for his own fulfilment.

He is a dangerous individual who poses a risk to children. We are glad he has now been brought to justice."
