£20,000 Jewellery Stolen In New Forest

Police are releasing photographs of items of jewellery stolen during a burglary at a property in Beckley in the New Forest at the end of May.

It is believed that up to £20,000 worth of jewellery was removed from the property.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 31 sometime between 2.30pm and 6pm. Entry was gained through a rear window and an untidy search of the house was conducted.

The three photos show a silver Edwardian necklace, an antique 15ct gold aquamarine necklace and matching earrings and a three-colour gold necklace in a flower design.

Other items stolen included a gold bracelet, a gold brooch with two interlinking hearts, a pair of antique plain gold cufflinks, a reproduction antique sapphire and gold ornate-style pendant with a gold chain and a gold ring with a band shaped like hands
holding a jet stone.

A pair of pale pink glass earrings in the shape of stars, a pair of aquamarine and gold drop-earrings and a pair of gold and seed pearl earrings in the shape of flowers were also removed from the property.

PC Olli Lucas, of Lyndhurst police station, said:

 "If you or anyone you know has been offered items matching these descriptions for sale recently, or you have any information regarding the whereabouts of these items, then please get in touch."

She added:

 "Police are also keen to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious behaviour in the area around the time the incident took place. If you have any information which could help police with their enquiries then please contact us."
