4 Charged In Connection With Cannabis Factory

Four people have been charged with the production of a class B drug following the discovery of the cannabis factory on the Portchester Castle trading estate on Monday, July 19.

 
Two men: Tuan Quoc Tran (31), Van Sec Nguyen (20), one woman: Thi Thu Le (22) and a 12-year-old boy - all of no fixed abode - were charged with these offences and are appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, July 21).

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a blaze at a unit within the Castle Trading Estate shortly after 2pm on Sunday, July 19. Firefighters discovered cannabis plants and drugs paraphernalia within the burning warehouse and alerted police.
 
Forensics teams continue to examine the unit and are expected to be working there for most of this week.
