Six people in a van, a 4x4 and a car have smashed their way into a supermarket on the South Coast and stolen a cash machine.

The raid happened at a Co-Op in Andover early yesterday (Wednesday, November 3rd). It happened at the store in Charlton Road between 2.30am and 2.50am.

All three vehicles, a dark coloured 4x4, a dark coloured transit van and a light coloured car possibly a Ford Focus, made off from the scene along Charlton Road towards Charlton Village.

PC Keith Walsh said: “I want to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area at this time.

“We believe that a vehicle travelling from Charlton towards the town centre passed the scene of the offence as the offenders were attempting to gain access, we would particularly like to talk to this person."

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact PC Keith Walsh at Andover police station on 101. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
