Four Charged After Portsmouth Drug Raids
Four men have been charged with drug offences after raids across Portsmouth.
Detectives from the Hampshire Major Investigation Team (HMIT) have charged them with a conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Police executed a series of warrants at seven addresses in Portsmouth on Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28, 2013.
Cash and class A drugs, including suspected cocaine supplies, were seized by officers.
Nine people were arrested and questioned during the operation.
Four people from the Portsmouth area were charged on Saturday 29 June. They are:
- Ankel Pretji, aged 23
- Evi Zharra, aged 27
- Moksudur Rahman, aged 30
- Erol Barjami, aged 34
Mr Pretji, Mr Zharra and Mr Rahman remain in police custody this weekend before they are due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday 1 July.
Mr Barjami was bailed to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Friday 19 July.
The remaining five people arrested were questioned and later released on police bail until various dates pending further enquiries.
The Hampshire Major Investigation Team (HMIT) has a dedicated team of specialist officers who work closely with local policing teams in Portsmouth to seize and stop suspected supplies of illegal drugs in the city.

The Minicom number, which is used by deaf and hard of hearing callers, has changed to Minicom TextRelay 18001 101.
