Man Arrested Over Nightclub Fire

Detectives in Southampton have arrested a second man in connection with an arson at a Southampton nightclub.

A passing police patrol noticed the blaze at the Rhino Club in Waterloo Terrace at around 2am on Saturday March, 13, when flames appeared to be coming out of the roof.

A 21-year-old man from Southampton was arrested at the time but was later released on police bail until yesterday, Tuesday, April 13 while enquiries continued. He answered his bail and has now been released with no further action.

However detectives also yesterday arrested another 21-year-old man in connection with the arson. This followed information received after photos of people police wanted to speak to about the incident were published in the media.

The man from Christchurch, Dorset was questioned by detectives and has been released on bail until Tuesday, May 25 while the investigation continues.
