A man's been punched in the face in a takeaway in Havant, by two men who tried to rob him and his friend.
An appeal is being made to find two kebab shop customers who helped the victim in Leigh Park.
Two men were walking through the Greywell shopping centre between 10pm and 10.30pm on Friday 31 May when a group of men started to shout abuse and threats at them.
The victims went into Dilan Kebab House to get away. Two of the group followed them into the shop, and demanded they hand over a wallet.
One suspect punched one of the victims, a 24-year-old man, in the face. He did not receive any visible injuries, but his jaw was painful.
Staff in the kebab shop intervened to eject the suspects, who left empty-handed.
Two men, aged 20 and 18, from Havant, were arrested on Sunday 2 June. They were questioned and later bailed until 8 July pending further enquiries.
Two other customers in the shop at the time witnessed the events and gave the victims a lift home in a white van-type vehicle.
Police are appealing for these Good Samaritans to come forward. They may be able to assist with the investigation.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact CID at Havant Police Station by phoning 101. Mini-com users can phone 01962 875000. Alternatively, call the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
