Man Dies After Being Hit By Car

An elderly man has died following a collision in South Street, Gosport on Saturday, October 30th.

The 89-year-old pedestrian from Gosport was crossing the road when he was in collision with a Mitsubishi 4x4, shortly before 1pm.

He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital where he later died.

The driver, a 41-year-old Fareham man, was not injured.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or either the vehicle or the pedestrian prior to it, to contact PC Chris Powling at Fratton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Ramie.
