Police Warning To Parents In Southampton
Police in Southampton are warning parents in the that teenagers may be targeted by a man who is committing indecent acts in a car.
At about 6.30pm Tuesday, November 27, a 14-year-old boy and a friend were outside a chip shop in Coxford Road when they saw a driver behaving indecently. They walked around the corner, but the car followed them.
They realised the driver was wearing only a shirt. The driver is described as a slim white man in his early twenties who has short hair. The car is a two-door blue or green car.
PC Stewart Forrester said parents should be aware of this incident.
''We want parents to take whatever action they think is appropriate to make their children aware of this man and the car. We now understand that the activity has been seen before, but it has not been reported to the police,'' he said.
''Ideally, we would urge anyone who sees such activity to get a vehicle registration number and report it to the police,'' PC Forrester said.
Anyone who sees the vehicle or indecent behaviour in a similar car is asked to contact PC Forrester at Southampton Central on 101.
