Skate Park Vandalised With Broken Glass

Police are appealing for information after a skate park in Petersfield was vandalised, with broken glass and drawing pins.

Sometime during the weekend of Friday, March 18 and Sunday, March 20, criminal damage was caused at the park in Love Lane.

Extensive graffiti was sprayed over the fences and concrete ramps, damage was caused to a wooden fence, glass and drawing pins were glued to the side part of the facility and sharp fragments of glass were placed in the fence panelling.

PC Scott Barnden, from the Alton targeted patrol team, said: “These acts could have resulted in serious injury being caused to those that use this facility, which includes very young children.

“If you know who was responsible for this damage, please get in touch. You can ring Crimestoppers anonymously and you don’t have to give your name.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Barnden at Alton police station on 101, via the website at www.hampshire.police.uk/internet/contact/message_officer.htm  or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
