Teenager In Southampton Sex Attack

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a report of a serious sexual assault in Southampton.

It happened between 1.30am and 2.30am on Sunday, October 13 on a pathway between Mount Pleasant Road and Empress Road.

The victim, an 18-year-old woman, had become separated from her friends and was approached by two men who subjected her to a serious sexual assault.

Following the incident the suspects ran away chased by friends of the victim in the direction of Empress Road.

The suspects are described as white and aged between 20 and 30.

Detective Inspector Richard Sellwood said:

"We would like to hear from anyone who has information that may assist our investigation.

"Did you see or hear anything around the time of the incident"
