Three Charged Over Waterlooville Murder

Police investigating the murder of Simon Warton in Dove Close, Waterlooville in April have charged three people with assisting an offender.

24-year-old Robert Allan Cahill of Broadmere Avenue, Havant, 41-year-old Marcus John Mears of Partridge Gardens, Waterlooville and a 16-year-old girl from Waterlooville are due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 8. 

Two 29-year-old men have been released with no further action. 

A 23-year-old man from Southsea failed to answer bail.

Dad-of-one Simon was found with stab wounds in the early hours of Thursday 12th April 2012. He later died in hospital.

Sean Bailey, 28, of Robin Gardens, Wecock has already appeared in court charged with murder.
