Vicious Attacks On Our Police Officers

In an exclusive, Heart's found out 900 Hampshire Police officers have been attacked in the space of just one year - 300 of them getting injured.

In the past few months alone, there have been some pretty vicious attacks.

In January, a police woman suffered a broken wrist in Southampton as she was trying to arrest a wanted man. Three officers were hurt trying to stop a fight outside a pub, one had to go to hospital.

In another case recently, someone who had just been arrested and was being put in the back of a police van, kicked the door and it hit an officer, splitting his head open. There has also been an attack when a police officer was punched in the mouth in a nightclub, knocking his teeth out.
