DAB Radio in North Devon

As a result of OFCOM granting Now Digital the licence to broadcast DAB digital radio in North Devon, Heart Devon is launching the new DAB Digital Radio local multiplex to listeners in North Devon.

After the successful application by multiplex provider Now Digital, last summer, to extend local DAB coverage into North Devon, Heart Devon can confirm this is being launched on Monday 13^th February.

The new multiplex will offer even more choice for radio listeners in the area featuring a whole raft of stations not available on DAB in North Devon before including Heart Devon, Capital FM, Gold Devon, XFM, and BBC Radio Devon.

Sara Bond, managing director of Heart Devon, said, “We are delighted that we can bring DAB to North Devon. We were keen that North Devon wouldn’t be left behind other parts of the UK to be part of radio’s digital future. The new local multiplex offers local listeners more choice and is great news for North Devon.”

Owners of DAB Digital Radio sets will need to rescan their radios to pick up the new stations.
