Could William and Kate be chart stars?

It's been announced that the entire royal wedding ceremony will released on iTunes within hours of the couple tying the knot.

The official album which is to be released by classical label Decca Records will then be available to buy in stores around the world within six days.  It will be accompanied by a booklet which will feature the complete order of service, the vows, hymns and readings.

The big day will also be available to buy on CD, vinyl and cassette.

Decca president Dickon Stainer said: "This will be the first official royal wedding album ever to enter the worldwide digital charts. It will capture a piece of history for a new generation."

David Joseph, chief executive of parent company Universal Music UK, said: "It will be the fastest we have ever released an album of this stature."
