Bury St Edmunds are holding a Vintage Jubilee Fete in celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday 5th June.

It's taking place from midday until 5pm in the Abbey Gardens.

Sharon Fairweather, Tourism Officer for St Edmundsbury Borough Council says "There will be loads of participation, with fund competitions like the Bonniest Baby, the Knobbliest Knees and the Loveliest Legs and a traditional children's fancy dress. There will also be music and dancing with Texas Tommy and Esther demonstrating the jive and teaching the audience. We are hoping for some strong sides for the Tug-of-War. It's a serious business and we are looking for ladies' and men's sides."

The celebration in the Abbey Gardens is just one of the events happening in the region over the bank holiday period.
