CCTV Images After Diamond Ring Theft

Police are releasing CCTV images of a man and a woman they want to speak to after the theft of a diamond ring from a jewellers in Aldeburgh High Street in July.

Around 4.25pm on Tuesday 5 July a man and woman of Asian appearance entered the store and asked to see a ring from the window display.

The man pointed out some rings he wished to see and as he did so he picked one from the display and placed it in his pocket before leaving the premises.

He is described as of slim build, in his late twenties to thirties, wearing a bright pink long sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

The woman with him is described as aged between 20-30 years old, with long black hair and was wearing a black knee length skirt and a pink/red top.

Police need to trace them and are asking anyone who recognises them to call PC Carl Lawrence at Leiston & Aldeburgh Safer Neighbourhood Team on 01986 835300 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
