A man has been charged after a burglary at a police station
On Wednesday 23rd February, police arrested a man after he was acting suspiciously. He was firstly confronted by an officer and then ran off out of the building. Police immediately searched the area and found him behind Shire Hall.
31 year old Ian Crosby from Fernley Crescent in Newmarket was later charged with burglary and criminal damage.
The police have stated that all police stations have higher security in certain areas, however the security of the station will be reviewed.
Ian Crosby is now due before Bury Magistrates on the 4th of March.
