Eight Arrests After Fight

Two more men have been arrested after a big fight which left three people needing hospital treatment.

Police were called to reports of a large disturbance on the Market Hill in Brandon at around 1.25am on Saturday 30th April. When they arrived they found three men with injuries, officers administered first aid until ambulance personnel arrived and all three were taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital.

Two of the men sustained cuts and the third suffered a wound to his neck and face.

Two men were arrested on 30th April in connection with the incident - a 30-year-old man from the Thetford area was arrested on suspicion of GBH and has been released on police bail to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on 27th July.

A 24-year-old man from the Thetford area was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and has been released on police bail, to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on 29th June.

In May a further four men were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder – a 21-year-old from the Brandon area, a 20-year-old from the Brandon area, a 20-year-old from Brandon and a 21-year-old from Brandon, all have been questioned and released on police bail to attend the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on 17th August.

Over the weekend (11th and 12th June) two more men were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder - a 22-year-old man from the Thetford area and a 20-year-old man from the Thetford area. Both were questioned and released on police bail to attend the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on 27th August.
