Honnington Stabbing Update

Police have launched a murder inquiry after a man died in hospital following a stabbing.

The 23-year-old man suffered stab wounds to his body after an incident in Poplar Close in Honington early on Wednesday morning, 16th March.

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in a critical condition before being transferred to Papworth Hospital where he died last night.

The investigation into the incident is now a murder inquiry, and is ongoing.

A 22-year-old woman from the Bury St Edmunds area, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, remains on police bail and must return to Bury Police Station on 23rd March.
