Ipswich: Man Assaulted & Stabbed

A man has been taken to hospital this afternoon after being assaulted and stabbed in Ipswich.

He was walking with a woman along Bramford Road when he was approached at around 2.10pm by a group of four or five men. He was assaulted and suffered stab wounds, which are not considered life-threatening. The woman was not hurt.

The victim has been taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment and Bramford Road is closed off whilst officers carry out inquiries.

The offenders ran off towards Hammersmith Way. Anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed this incident should call Ipswich CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
