Ipswich Mum Successfully Gets Law Changed
An Ipswich mum's whose daughter was killed by a pensioner days after he was told not to drive says she's glad a new law will soon come into force.
Jackie McCord's daughter Cassie was killed by a pensioner in Essex on February 9th, 2011.
Just days earlier police had told the 87 year old not to drive because his eye-sight was so bad.
"Cassie's Law" will mean the process of suspending someone's licence is sped up.
Jackie says she also wants compulsory eye-tests for people over 70 and spoke to Heart about her campaign:
A third person has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Dean Stansby in Ipswich.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested in Norfolk on suspicion of terror offences, Scotland Yard said.
Detectives investigating a murder in Ipswich have arrested a man in connection with the incident.
