Ipswich: Norwich Road Incident Man Released On Bail

The 29-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of wasting police time following an incident in Ipswich on Monday 4 February has been released on police bail.

Following information received by police of concerns for the safety of a woman at a property in Norwich Road on Monday, a police operation was launched. The road was cordoned off, armed police and the force helicopter sent out.

Seven people were initially detained at the address, including the woman who concerns had been expressed for. They were taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where an account was given by the woman. No offences were disclosed, all seven were released and will face no further police action.

The 29-year-old man from Ipswich has been bailed pending further enquiries and must return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Wednesday 6th March.
