A man's been charged with assisting a prisoner to escape and possession of a firearm after an incident at the West Suffolk Hospital

A man has been charged with assisting a prisoner to escape and possession of a firearm following an incident at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds on 25 January 2012.

Garry Cowan, 43, currently from the Thamesmead area of London has been charged this morning at a police station in the Metropolitan Police area and will be appearing at Camberwell Magistrates Court via video link today, Wednesday 29 February.
