There has been a 26% rise in the number of children and young people hospitalised after self-harming in the East of England.
Man Charged With Arson
A man has been charged with arson and two counts of arson with intent to endanger lives after two fires.
The first fire was at a residential property within The Chequers Hotel on Ancaster Road in Ipswich at around 3.50pm on Tuesday.
At around 5.40pm the same day, a Jaguar saloon car was set alight before a fire was started inside a residential property in Ranelagh Road. Nobody was injured.
48-year-old Billy Parker from Ranelagh Road in Ipswich was arrested and subsequently charged with the offences and has been remanded in police custody. He is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
