Woman's Body Discovered in Flat

Suffolk Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in Ipswich.

The police and ambulance service were called to a flat on Burrell Road on Wednesday night after reports from concerned neighbours who had not seen the occupant for several days.  At the address emergency services found the body of a woman thought to be in her 50s.
 
The cause of death has not yet been established, and the flat has been cordoned off while police conduct their enquiries and scenes of crime officers examine the scene.
 
Police are trying to get in touch with her next of kin, so no more information about the identity of the woman is available at this time.
