Police have released an efit of the suspect who left a dog walker with a broken ankle.

The incident happened at about 5.30pm on Thursday 11 August, near Broadmark Parade, Rustington. A 48-year-old local man was assaulted by a dog walker who had refused to clear up his dog's mess on the green area at the south end of Broadmark Lane, after being asked to do so by the victim.

The suspect pushed the victim over resulting in his suffering a broken ankle.

The suspect is described as a white, aged about 65, 5' 6' to 5' 8' of stocky build with a distinctive white pointed goatee beard and wearing a baseball cap, a green bomber jacket with blue jogging bottoms with white stripes down the sides and trainers.

He was walking a golden retriever dog. PC Stuart McAdams said: "Someone must know who this man is as he is very distinctive.

The efit has just been released because at the time the victim was in hospital having his injury treated.

Anyone who saw what happened or has any information as to who this man is should contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 1344 of 11/08."
