Reading: Man Charged Over Police Officer Critically Injured

Police have charged a man with multiple offences in connection with an officer left critically injured in an alleged hit and run in Reading

The 28 year old from Whitley, Reading has been charged with: Causing grievous bodily harm with intent to evade arrest, Dangerous driving, resulting in serious injury and aggravated vehicle taking. 

The charges relate to a crash on Lower Early Way West at around 5.30pm on Saturday (30/11) when PC Gareth Browning was seriously injured. 

A 31-year-old woman arrested yesterday in connection with this incident has been bailed until 16 January. 

A 34-year-old woman also arrested yesterday in connection with this incident was released without charge.
