Llandudno gets Royal rock
To celebrate the Royal Wedding, Llandudno pier is selling the UK's first Royal Wedding Rock!
The Union Jack themed rock, which displays the names 'Will & Kate' through the middle, are expected to be a best seller in the Victorian town. Retailers on the pier, which is the oldest pier in Wales, have stocked up on the sweet souvenirs ahead of the bank holiday weekends.
The creators of the limited edition sticks of rock, Llandudno-based Cambrian Confectionery, have been providing rock to the attraction for decades.
Proving that their excitement over Royal engagements isn't newly found, the last piece of limited edition rock that was produced by the business was for the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977 and it was a sell-out success.
