Motorcyclist Dies After M25 Crash

After an accident forced part of the M25 to close for almost four hours yesterday (Wednesday June 8th), Heart's been told a man has died.

A motorbike and van crashed on the anti-clockwise carriageway between junction 24 for Potters Bar and 23 for South Mimms at 6:30am.

The motorcyclist, a man aged 24 from London, was taken to Barnet General Hospital with serious injuries, but died this morning. The driver of the van, a 49-year-old man from Broxbourne, was uninjured.

A full closure was put in place on the M25 until about 10.20am.

PC Terry Nesbitt, from the Road Crash Investigation Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and can help explain what happened to come forward.

“Those with information can contact me via the non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222.”
