The Mayor of Watford is asking people to phone her today (Tuesday) and talk about any concerns they've got with the area they're living in.
Dorothy Thornhill is holding a phone-in surgery, which she says is useful for people who can't take time off work or arrange childcare to be able to attend face-to-face sessions.
The surgery is being held between 10am and 12 noon. If you'd like to arrange an appointment to talk to the Mayor, you can call 01923 278371 or e mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Dorothy Thornhill told Heart she's expecting a wide range of issues to be raised:
"A lot of the things that come in now are less about the council and more about other issues that are affecting people - whether it's hospitals, adult care, mental health."
And she says she's happy to pass on any feedback she gets about spending cuts:
"I feel part of my role - particularly now we're in government - is that I need to tell the people who are making decisions what the impact is on real people, and that's very much my job."
The next Town Hall Surgery will be on Thursday 28th October, between 5.15 and 7.15pm.
