Re-Appeal To Find Missing Hak
Detectives in Watford are searching for a missing forty year-old Watford man who has not been seen since the end of May.
Mujib Hakim, known locally as “Hak”, was last seen on Friday 27th May at 11.30pm when he told friends he was going to buy cigarettes.
He is described as an Asian man, medium build, 5ft 9ins tall, with shaved or very closely cropped hair.
He was last seen wearing a beige / cream coloured body warmer with a green pullover tied around his waist and dark trousers.
Mr Hakim is well known in Watford Town Centre and is also known to frequent the canal areas of Watford.
Herts Police have released a CCTV image of a man who was seen talking to him just after 4.45pm on Friday 27th May. They believe could have information which would greatly assist their investigation.
The footage is of a white male believed to be in his twenties who was wearing a long sleeved white top dark trousers and trainers.
Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins from the Vulnerable and Missing Persons Unit, based at Watford Police Station, said: "We are very keen to speak with the man in this footage as we believe he may have information which could greatly assist our investigation. I would urge this man, or anyone who may know who he is to come forward to speak with us.
"This is a horrific ordeal for Mujib’s family and I would urge anyone who ahs an information at all, no matter how small or insignificant they think it might be to come forward.
"Hakim has not been seen for over seven weeks now and with each day that passes we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. Mujib, if you see or hear this appeal, please get in touch with us we are all extremely worried about you. I would also appeal to members of the public or urge anyone who knows of Mujib’s whereabouts to contact us as a matter of urgency."
Pair took purses from shoppers in Watford, St Albans and Harpenden.
