Watford FC Celebrates Premier League Promotion

Thousands of Watford FC fans celebrated the club's promotion in style yesterday with a big open top bus parade through the town yesterday.

It finished in Cassiobury Park where a big family fun day had already been planned for the bank holiday.

Thousands of fans in yellow filled the park and lined the streets to follow the bus route.

Many fans told Heart they are confident of the team staying up in the Premier League , syaing the team and club are in a great position for this next challenge.

Meanwhile Head coach Jokanovic is out of contract in the summer and has yet to agree a new deal, but he offered a broad hint that talks over his future are imminent.

"In the next days we will start thinking about the future of this club.

"My obligation and the club's obligation is to be ready (for the Premier League), to be competitive and to build a team to win games.''

Thousands of supporters packed the streets of Watford and the nearby Cassiobury Park to salute the Hornets, who are back among the elite for the first time since 2006.

"It's a nice day for us and for the fans,'' Jokanovic added. "We should be proud and happy. We were fighting as a team for days like this.''

Skipper Troy Deeney said: "It's been a great season.

"We are going to have to go again, but not with expectations of challenging. We need to be sensible. As long as we stay up. it will have been a fantastic season.''
