Woman Dies In Watford Car Crash
A woman has died after a car crash in Watford yesterday.
A blue Kia and a grey Vauxhall Astra were involved in the collision. Sadly the driver of one of the vehicles - a woman in her 70s - died at the scene.
The driver of the other car - a woman in her 30s - was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious at this time.
Roads closures were put in place on Carpenders Lane at the junction with Oxhey Lane and on Oxhey Lane at the junction with Little Oxhey Lane.
Sergeant Sam Cordingley of the Road Policing Unit, said: "This is a tragic incident where a woman has sadly lost her life and our thoughts are with her friends and family at this time.
"I am appealing for anyone who was driving along this road and saw the two vehicles before the collision took place, or anyone who witnessed the actual collision, to please get in touch as soon as possible."
