A reward's being offered for anyone who helps find a man who stabbed a chip shop worker in Birmingham in a row over an order.

The 51-year-old victim was violently assaulted at around 3.20pm on November 7 at Simply Fish and Chips in Hagley Road West, Quinton.

CCTV footage shows the suspect walking in to the shop and ordering some food before a dispute appears to take place over the order and he leaves, damaging the door in the process.

The shop worker was assaulted as he tried to stop the man. He was stabbed several times to the body and left with multiple injuries.

West Midlands Police is treating the incident as attempted murder and have been working around the clock to track down the suspect, who fled the scene along Hagley Road West towards the city.

Crimestoppers is now offering the reward of up to £2,000 for information that leads to his arrest.

The suspect is described as mixed race. He was wearing a grey hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and a black beanie hat at the time of the incident.

Pauline Hadley, Regional Manager for Crimestoppers West Midlands, said: “This is an appalling attack which left an innocent chip shop worker with horrific injuries.
