Headteacher jailed for child sex abuse

A former head teacher from the Midlands - whose assaults have been described as 'reigns of terror' - has been sentenced to 21 years behind bars.

Derek Slade from Burton was convicted of more than 50 violent and sexual offences against school boys during the 70s and 80s in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Detective Inspector Adrian Randall from Suffolk Police  read a statement on behalf the victims...

"Our time at St.Georges has had a profound affect on our lives. Derek Slade created a culture of fear and suffering where casual violence and institutional brutality was enforced."
