Race For Life Walsall

Thousands of women are taking part in the Race for Life event happening in Walsall Arboretum today (Sunday 19th May) raising money for Cancer Research UK.

It's the first event of many across the West Midlands throughout the summer.

Deborah Blakeman is running for her 4 year old little girl Darcy who was diagnosed with Luekemia last year.

She told Heart that she thinks the money and awareness raised by the charity has lead to a much brighter future for her family. She says Darcy is doing well, her hair is growing back and she is enjoying being at school.
