Police continue hunt for murder suspect

A search has been on to find Coventry man Anxiang Du, 52 since the bodies of Jifeng Ding, his wife and their two daughters were found stabbed to death at their home in Wootton, Northampton on Sunday 1 May 2011.  It's thought they were killed on Friday 29 April - the day of the royal wedding.

Police have told Heart they have now used warrants to search addresses in the London area, where Mr Du is thought to have travelled on 29 April, after the murders of the Ding family.

Detective Chief Inspector Tom Davies from Northamptonshire Police has been telling Heart: "We're still working through exactly what we've got.  Mr Du was not located, but some of the searches have been undertaken to identify any opportunities to ascertain exactly where he may be."

It's thought he took a car the Ding family had hired, and drove it to London.  CCTV shows him leaving the car in Venables Street, London at 2.27am on Saturday 30 April.  At that time he was still wearing a brown coat and a white cap, and carrying a yellow rucksack.

A £10,000 reward has been put forward by Crimestoppers for information that leads to the conviction of anyone linked to the murders of the Ding family.  You can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111

Members of the public are advised not to approach Mr Du but to call 999 if you see him.  Anyone with information about Mr Du is asked to call the Northamptonshire Police incident room on 0800 096 1011 .
