Another battle is being waged this weekend against Swindon's bulging obesity problem.

One in four adults in the town are now classed as unheathily or even morbidly overweight.

Dance expert Emma Langhorne's running a free public "dancer-cise" event at Wharf Green tomorrow and told heart, why it might help "it's about using dance as a vehicle for physical activity into increasing levels of fitness as well as all those other, what we call "softer outcomes" - such as developing confidence and self-esteem.

Emma added "the new phenomenom of street-dancing is attracting new people in using dance as a way of keeping fit".

African and Caribbean dance workshops, live dance performances and demonstrations will take place on Saturday 1-3pm at Wharf Green.
