Dad hails Wrexham family centre

A centre that helps disadvantaged families in North Wales has been described as a lifesaver by a dad who turned his life around there.

The "First Families" project is being trialled in Wrexham as part of plans by the Welsh Assembly Government to get rid of child poverty in Wales by 2020.

Figures show 32% of children in Wales are living in poverty and the Assembly want to eradicate it.

Dad Wayne Greenshields has been using the centre in Wrexham and explained to Heart how it has totally changed him.

He said:

"I was a quiet timid person with no self confidence at all.

"Now I have all the confidence in the world.  I feel confident being a parent and confident being a person, they have made me who I am to honest."
