Man in hospital after being shot.

Thames Valley Police are offering reassurance to people in part of Reading after a man was shot last night.

A 40-year-old man was shot at around 11.25pm in Lower Earley on Monday (27th September)

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Tolmie said:

“We are at the early stages of investigation and are keeping an open mind. If anyone has any information on the incident they should contact police as soon as possible.

“We are investigating this incident thoroughly and neighbourhood officers are in the area providing reassurance to the local community, who we will continue to keep updated.”
