Congratulations to The Weakest Links from Norwich - winners of Quiz4Kids 2010!

The Winning Team

The Weakest Links is a collection of family and friends from the Hellesdon/Catton areas with 2 generations of players. The team leader is Paula Bloor and they do the occasional quiz together but their secret weapon is surely Paula’s other half, Barry. He was a runner up on the real TV show The Weakest Link a couple of years back.

They beat 40 other teams to be crowned trivia Champions in the area’s biggest quiz night at the Airport Holiday Inn last Thursday night.

The event was really exciting – over 400 players from the area did battle including teams of solicitors, car dealers, stores, financiers, sports clubs, pub groups and specially assembled teams from individuals on the night.

Chris Marston from Heart Drive time compered the evening with Angie from Breakfast News. Heart Breakfast presenters Rob & Chrissie together with Neil Perry from the newsroom hosted a variety of audio and picture rounds too.

How much was raised?

Quiz4Kids raised a fantastic £3000.

We are so grateful for all your generosity so thank you, thank you, thank you!

Where does the money go?

All the money raised goes to the Have a Heart Appeal which this year is working with the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Starlight use the money to grant wishes to terminally ill children such as meeting JLS in London or swimming with dolphins in America.
